Pickleball Brantford has established an Emergency Assistance Plan to support a prompt, organized response when a medical emergency, serious injury or safety incident occurs during club activities.
Prepared to respond
Safety is part of organized play
Club facilitators receive guidance on the EAP so they understand their role in coordinating an emergency response and supporting members until professional help arrives.
Trained facilitators
Facilitators are briefed on emergency roles, communication and coordination so the response can be organized and calm.
Follow-up & reporting
The EAP also supports appropriate incident follow-up and reporting after the immediate situation has been addressed.
In an emergency
Call 911 when urgent medical assistance is required and follow the direction of emergency responders. Members should also follow the instructions of the session facilitator.
